Sigh. I’m beginning to think people think everything we do is sterile and that’s why they’re so obsessed with gloves and think it’s a gotcha moment. Regular gloves are not sterile and usually covered in germs considering they sit in a box and people shove their hands in the box all day. They protect us from your bodily fluids man.

Pharmacist here, everyone gagging over the fact she has no gloves on but after she removes the plastic cap from the vial she then NEVER touches the critical sites because the kit she’s using covers it and facilitates sterile mixing. Could she have wiped the septum?… sure but then we add more time to wait for alcohol to dry before puncturing septum and a super moist alcohol pad leaves a fat drop that don’t evaporate quickly. Septum SHOULD be clean before manufacturer puts plastic seal on top tho anyway
