My mom used to whistle to get our attention. No matter how soft or loud the whistle was, we would always hear it and come immediately. We still react even though we're in our thirties. Better than yelling across the room. If the play area was outside or on another level, she'd come and get us, by standing in the doorway and whistling 😂
