how does this make sense, you take out from offset paying 6% and invest it else where. how is that a saving 6%?

I did that for years, paid my whole income on mortgage and used redraw monthly , paid my ex husband out after divorce and had more debt than I’d ever had and still ended up mortgage free at about 44 👌
