Contact smeg themselves under the consumer guarantees act it should last ‘a reasonable amount of time’. For the price this is expected to last a lot longer !! I got a new Ghd as same thing happened to me !

I thought this when I got a trendy glass kettle over 20years ago and it’s still going strong. I also have a $20 kmart toaster that’s 13 years old and still perfect after family life every single day use. I got lucky out both ways.
