The Presidency, under His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Ministry of Education with Hon Haruna Iddrisu, the Members of Parliament on the Education Select Committee, and Hon. Eric Edem Agbana — let’s pause and reflect on the situation. The Professional Trained teachers from the 2023 year group who studied for four years (2019-2023), passed the Teacher Licensure Exams, graduated from 46 Public Colleges of Education, and completed their one-year mandatory National service are still home after nearly two and a half years without recruitment. The pain, hardship, and mockery have become unbearable. It's disheartening to see trained and qualified teachers resorting to selling pure water just to survive. While I respect every job, it's troubling when those meant to educate are left unutilized. For how long shall they remain unposted, wasting their valuable skills? I recognize that the government has processes and challenges, but I genuinely appeal for assistance in addressing these issues. The Presidency, along with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service, must provide a clear update and roadmap to address these matters, easing the burden on these dedicated individuals. They've fulfilled their responsibilities; now it’s time for the government to reciprocate. Thank you for taking this issue seriously. God bless our Homeland Ghana.
