On October 2025, Orange County firefighter Gabrielle Franze was arrested for allegedly dumping over 75 tampons, painted red to resemble blood, onto her ex-boyfriend’s lawn. Investigators linked her to the scene through surveillance footage showing a dark pickup truck matching hers and license plate readers that placed her vehicle in the area. Although she initially denied involvement and blamed relatives, she eventually admitted to being present, and authorities charged her with two counts of misdemeanor stalking. Franze remains on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of her legal proceedings and a pre-determination hearing with the fire department. (info found)
