@thelionglass: This will no doubt get me some hate but I don't really care - it is not medical advice, it is an answer to a question that MANY of my followers ask me - what did WE do in relation to Vitamin K important - MAKE your own decisions But we did not believe the risks of health problems due to vitamin K deficiency warranted a huge public health rollout of injecting every single baby in the UK I have actually never seen anything pushed as hard in hospitals tbh, the NHS own website openly declares HOW LOW the risks are - but this is something that is very much absent in the messaging on the wards #pregnant #pregnancy #birth #parenting #baby

I didnt either. my youngest had a tongue tie and the NHS would not correct it because he didnt get the vitamin k so I had to go private for it and they didnt even ask about it.

1 in 60 chance for your child to have issues from not having vit K also all babies are deficient in it from birth.

This was given to my prem baby, can’t 100% say if they asked my permission, my baby had a bleed on the brain which clotted, now researching into this could this be why the clot never went away 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hell no! They refused to cut our son’s tongue tie because we declined it so we paid and went private.

Yes all three of mine received vitamin K. I was not taking the chance that my baby might have a condition that could cause death. The Vit K does not have a black box warning as I see so often. Parents do your research.

Every baby is born with reduced vitamin k. The more vit k in the body, the less easier it is for stem cells to be transported around the system to heal and grow. It’s by design, not accident. NOT SOMETHING THAT NEEDS ‘TREATED’

I also didn’t give to my child and they made me feel awful about it. I was literally bullied in hospital but I said no.

No I didn’t and they sent a consultant to come and try and scare me into it by telling me awful stories of things he’s seen happen to babies that didn’t have it. I got asked about 10 times after straight after birth if I was sure

Leave the placenta and umbilical cord cord attached to babies for a while instead of cutting straight away!

This started in the 1960s so it’s not really an “experiment”. It’s to mainly prevent “heamoragic disease of the newborn” which is in itself a risk of 1:25,000 births. But would you risk your baby being that one? It’s impossible to screen for, there’s no way to screen for it.

the NHS only do things if absolutely necessary, its why many people go undiagnosed with things because they dint have the typical symtpoms which warrent tests, they do that to save money. the risks of not having the vitamin K outweight the risks of having it and that in my opinion is worth it. my baby will be having every single thing they recommend because they are medical professionals, they have access to information that we do not. we cannot make an informed decision on what's best medically without a Dr's help. same with the RSV v*xcine, I'll be having that once im offered because RSV has and does ☠️babies and the risks outweight everything else. many people who refused the vitamin K and had the consequences wish they agreed and beg other parents too, a lot of the stuff you read online about it isn't correct which is why they tell you not to rely on information online
