So if you don’t have full coverage insurance and just liability, their insurance doesn’t cover it so you’re out of vehicle. Just like when they raid the wrong home and destroy it and pay for nothing.

Why can't they just be adults and pay for the damage to the man's vehicle. Regardless of their purpose, the cops were the sole cause of the accident AKA negligence. Simply make it right.
