Exampled used was not a switchback. A switchback is cutting across another cars line by doing a late apex and having better acceleration on corner exit. Leclerc just did the corner normally. “Fake divebomb” is more commonly called a “feint”. In the example used, hamilton wouldnt have been able to divebomb anyway since the corner isnt a heavy braking zone. Hamilton did something more clever, he appeared in Sainz mirror, appearing like he could do a move and is faster than he seems, taking away Sainz focus for a sec and making him miss the corner. Drivers do it all the time, appearing in the mirrors of a leading car is the best way to make them stress out.
