I totally understand it. trespassers are relentless. they think they own easements.

It sounds like a county road that connects two different county roads, that goes through your property!

I'm with you, it's your property.
None of the trespassers would permit people to trespass at their house.

Saw both parts. Pretty straightforward to me, but you live in America. Educating people here about basic stuff is a full time job.

I think that you need to have been born & raised in Montana to fully understand the situation. For many generations, access across private land was allowed and was apparently the case here before he bought it. It looks like people took a shortcut through this guy's property to access state or BLM land for years. This happened all the time in Montana. He now is eliminating this which is his right and frankly has always been available to a landowner. I fully understand the potential liability issues. It will take people time to adjust to this change in that it was likely accessible for decades so he will have to be patient.

Your a better person than me! I'd be so petty I'd be putting up sprinklers and whatever else to get anyone if they trespassed. People need to read signs, says private property! That means GET OUT!!

Put up no trespassing signs beyond this point otherwise they'll just make an argument that they've always trust fast or walked on the other side

I wonder if you can get the county to put in a sign at the beginning of the road that says Not a Thru Street.

totally understand, when we first bought our house people on horses use to ride through our property so we had to put up a fence on our 2 1/2 aces so they would stop that and we wanted to make sure coyotes wouldn't be able to just walk across with our young children in the backyard 😎 yes they were made

do you have a sign at the head of your shared private driveway saying private drive and no trespassing?

Not sure what state you're living in but many states have 20 year easement laws. If your driveway has been used for more than 20 years as a public access point to a public trail, it may be considered a public easement even though you own the property and pay taxes on the road they are using. I ran into this exact situation while living next to a state forest in Pa.
