Guys. Tom is a younger guy who did some INCREDIBLE very stuff this year. If it was more popular than street then I bet he WOULD have got SOTY. You have to think about it. Tony is maybe the most influential skaters of all time. And to be sat down after you didn’t win SOTY and be told by him that you won in his eyes and to be given his trophy would light a fire under you like nothing else. I don’t think he’s throwing any shade at Joslyn he just feels strongly about Tom.

As niche as skateboarding is, street is still currently more popular due to the accessibility of it. Vert is just as difficult, if not more so, but it’s a popularity contest at the end of the day.
