Why did we edit out the “even as a crack fiend, mama, you always was a black queen, mama”. Which is, without a doubt, the most important line of the song imo. Even as a yt woman from the suburbs, that line speaks VOLUMES of the struggles that his family and so many others went through. Tupac was ahead of his time and the most beautiful soul. I’m lowkey judging anyone who is a parent of a teenager or adult and hasn’t heard this song though. Weird af.

I tear up when I hear this song. I didn’t get to experience a mothers love as a child because she wasn’t around, but I swore on my life that when I had my kids I was going to be present and show them all the love in the world. My boys know that I love them to death,that makes up for all the pain 😌
