Pirates 3 is arguably the best one, and my favorite scene is Jack and Barbosa’s chat in front of the carcass of the kraken. It’s never stated in the movie, but in the pirates wiki THIS behemoth of a creature was last of its kind, and though it would’ve been cool to see its defeat on screen, its death off screen sets the tone way better. What once appeared to be unstoppable is now beached and rotting, an end to its line, and two pirate legends see the threat of extinction quite clearly in this animal. The scene is only replicated by the two veteran actors playing off each other. It’s just magnificent
