try using less cocoa powder or a sieve with smaller holes, a sharp knife to take off the cut outs and just cut out the miffy with out the extra paper

use less powder so its "soaks into" the cream and is less dry, that way the edges stay sharp. and when lifting the form lift it up straight so theres no falloff. thats why the professional ones for this purpose are harder plastic so it bends less :)
