Odd, that's such a valuable property, that even though destroyed by fire, wouldn't be "rebuilt" in some fashion or why would the important people that lived and owned these buildings abandon such valuable real estate? Certainly there is a intertwined fascinating story behind these ruins.

Very interesting news. I visited the Mycenaean graves at Aidonia this year (just north of Nemea). Worth a visit if only to wonder where its citadel was. We were the only two people there. Took a pile of photos.

Huh, that would have put it right at the fall of the Minoan height, the new temple period.....I wonder if this is where they first shifted to before being completely subsumed into mycenaean culture????
