Most of the time I’m not explaining what wrong because the person asking is the problem. Like the dishes being in the sink and then adding more than asking why I’m mad. Like open your eyes you adult baby. wtf read the room.

What if you’re not sharing, not bc you want them to “read your mind,” but bc you know there’s no point in sharing feelings bc it always leads to an argument and minimizing.

I feel like if you’re emotionally mature this type of relationship won’t last long, if it even happens in the first place.

I’m the “I’m fine” one bc of my trauma history, but I’m working on it! But having EI parents growing up, this is accurate!

I stayed with him for so long because I thought I could tolerate his immature behavior "because I loved him" yet I feel like I instantly moved on the moment it was finally over

nah if they tell me theyre fine i say 'ok' and smile in an enthusiastic way then have the best day ever around them. if something is wrong and they say it isnt, thats a lie IMO so i aint tiptoeing arounf their feelings. i dont empathise with liars

What if they get insanely angry if you ask if something is wrong? So you can’t even ask and then you start making stuff up in your head

I had these tendencies and it’s because every time I would express what’s wrong my parents would just berate and yell at me. So I quickly learned it’s unsafe to express any sort of feelings I had which inconvenience them. It’s very difficult to unlearn but doable

honestly "is something wrong?" or "what's wrong?" just does not feel opening as a conversation piece.
