@mom.behind.the.scenes: Replying to @Fern Finder Is it ASPD? I don’t know. But I clearly see the dynamic now and the boundaries are so firm they cannot be crossed.

After the Rob and Michele Reiner murder, I really worry for your safety. Do you have a plan in place in case he gets violent?

you saw so early. you've saved yourself so much hurt and distress by recognising this. my family went through so much because of the family member who lives with ASPD and we tried and tried to tell people to stop enabling the cycle. he destroyed so much

Boundaries for them are just a challenge. I think they actually enjoy the challenge.

My son is exactly the same way with boundaries and he’s only 14. I’ve been watching your videos and I’m just terrified.

I owe my aunt a huge apology. I tried to help my cousin after being manipulated by him and didn’t understand why my aunt and uncle had detached themselves from him. His actions for the past few decades has been awful and I am also estranged from him now. Your videos have helped shed some light on what my aunt, uncle and his siblings dealt with when he was a teen.

as a recovering addict who put their parents thru hell, you are doing great. i’m proud of the choices you are making. they are hard. but you are doing it. it’s okay to save yourself.

my father was like that. I said it was like playing a board game with someone who wouldn't let you see the rules & would change them if you started to 'win'. the only thing to do is to stop playing

How I wish I could actually talk to you. Like sit down with coffee, chat on the phone, something. I’m going through so similar with my daughter and I don’t know if there’s hope or not, I don’t know if I’m doing the right things, I’m just so damn alone.

I absolutely hate that you started this to be able to safely tell your secret and now it's people judging you on how you choose to handle YOUR life and traumas. I'm proud of you for doing the hard things you don't even speak of. hugs.

I appreciate your videos. People are so ready to blame the parents when a child goes to astray. Sometimes it truly is not the parents’ fault. 💙💙💙

Maybe if my mom was as strong as you we’d still be in contact. She refuses to learn. My brother is an addict as well and has mental health issues he refuses to treat. I no longer speak to any of them

I hope people understand that this is only ONE relationship you are describing, and that is painful enough. But there are innumerable other relationships that you are then forced to also apply those boundaries because this person will absolutely use them as access points. and tbh, many of them will be unaware, and will even blame Mom. I sincerely hope you have at least a couple other adults in your life who are living with eyes open, too.

Psychopaths do not improve or become better. They only adapt their pathological behaviors to manipulate & harm in different ways that work the next time.

it's funny how this put in perspective my relationship coparenting. second restraining order. that's exactly it. every boundary is something he has to solve. I left him 8 years ago. it doesn't matter. the abusive cycle didn't stop

I really applaud your consistent stand for what is healthy and can only imagine the great effort it takes to stay true to that choice. I see no one doing it as well.

DAYUM. Now that's what it means to stand on business. The wisdom to make your boundary "so big you can't get around it" is 🤯. I wish I had enough like foresight to see those things and make decisions like that in my own life. But I guess thanks to you, I do now ❤
