I strongly disagree my bf is my best friend but I also have guy best friends and most the time I would vent to both and yes I vent to them and make inside jokes but I’d do the same with my girl friends and even if they caught feelings I did not and my bf trust me and knows I would never do anything to hurt him I don’t think it should be a red flag just because u are friends with the opposite gender

Not always true. My oldest friend is a woman. We have known eachother for forty years without any feelings other than friendship. We have been friends with eachothers partners, her men my women. We just clicked in that friendship way. I periods where we both were single, still nothing but friends, none of us wanting extra benefits.

Why are people so quick to respond. To play devils advocate. Why not just say okay and yes it goes both ways. But my gosh do you want your partner to be happy to stay with you and love you more every day. Try to see who can treat there partner the best. It’s not a competition it’s not about winning. It’s about love plain and simple. If you do this and they don’t respond in kind you’re giving your love to the wrong person. ❤❤

I disagree. I have a female best friend of 22 years and there’s never been any romantic feelings. We do share alot of our deep thoughts and emotions and that’s actually what made our bond so strong is having that safe space to vent those sort of things most people don’t want to listen to. Also it’s a good benefit to have a strong female perspective on things I may not be seeing and there’s no bias, she’ll gladly tell me I’m delusional and overthinking a situation.
