I used to work at Walmart. I had a few conversations with management about not being allowed to use my discount card for customers. My CSM (front end "manager") put me on self checkout so they wouldn't know because I wouldn't stop. Old couples picked up groceries? Discount. Parents buying toys/diapers for their kids? Discount. Women buying monthly hygiene products? Discount. 😂😂

One year a woman sent me $250 around thanksgiving/Christmas time for groceries. I cried so hard because we were in so much medical debt from my ex husband undergoing three surgeries after finding out he had Crohn’s and it landed him in the hospital. It allowed my boys to actually have a Christmas. People who do this are amazing. I can’t wait until I can do something like a really good angel tree or something similar.

Ooooo I am getting a lot of flack for not pulling out gift cards immediately! The gift cards were given to me hours before the woman and her children came in. This is a condensed version for skit reasons. Also, it was not common practice to have GC to pull out/ I just learned about them that morning so it wasn’t second nature to reach for them. I was a manager at the time and it was Christmas- a lot going on so my memory for cards wasn’t at the forefront of thought. I am human and she still got to use the gift cards so all was well 💜

I do this. I was poor and now I’m not. So I pay for ppls orders behind me or leave an extra $10-20 at the till at target. Idk what ppl have going on. But if I can help someone then I’m doing my part.
