Can’t help but think this could have been handled differently. Why the rush to engage? The vehicle was disabled. They could have surrounded him and waited for things to calm down. It seems they were amped up on adrenaline and didn’t think tactically. No sympathy for the criminal but the death of the officer and his dog could definitely have been avoided with calmer heads.
