Blasters are more practical for almost any any target, given the number of shots before reload, ease of use and aiming, weight of ammunition, and lack of mechanical parts to foul/maintain. Sidearms don’t need to take down a goddamn tank

blaster is the best. dont forget the damage the blaster does. it 100% shoots through any steel thats why the clones all wear plastoid armor (forgot the name) and even that doesnt stop the blaster

Bolters are like rocket launcher- assault rifle hybrid’s even with the pistols the bullets have basically mini warheads and once it leaves the barrel a tiny rocket motor ignites and it explodes on impact

blaster, because it's the most versatile and stable for the average human. the others are good, I'd rather have the bolter but it's a super human weapon and the magnum needs a lot of control for an average human. and limited ammo.

there is an inquisitor who uses a Astartes Bolter but requires an anti grav unit to hold up the weight and recoil.

One thing about applying logic to any version of the bolter is that your magazine can hold like five rounds they are never depicted big enough to hold the amount of rounds that Space Marines shoot. if we're going with canonical magazine sizes, amazing if we're going with logical real magazine sizes it would be last place for me.

just watch the astartes series, it shows how versatile the boolt pistol, the only bad thing is that theu are like 3 feet long depending on the bolter
