I personally think you do a perfect mix of this. Totally understand being self conscious. You’ve actually encouraged me to be a bit more critical of the material I read. Reading has been my hobby since I was a kid and for the last 2/3 years I have read ‘lighter’ material. Next year I’m going to read books that I enjoy but that I will also learn and immerse myself in classics as well to combat this.

I absolutely resonate with the “am I dumb? I swear I’m not but damn” feeling. I’m still very new to this, like two months, so I’m still trying to see what my style of review is going to look like….but I think your approach is smart. Take time with some books to get something in the work of it, but also some just because it looks like a fun book. Balanced in all things.

SAME!! I was going to post a similar video and also wanted to slow down! Ive noticed how much my reading has changed since I started posting! Such imposter syndrome to even start posting in May now that imposter syndrome is around how strong my reviews are or feeling like I need to be more.
