@klkbuilds: Waterproofing the shower walls using GoBoard. Used backer board screws with a bigger head instead of washers. Doesn’t get much easier than this. #bathroomrenovation #showerremodel #DIY
Is that regular drywall above the go board? If so It will mold in time. 🤷🏻

Hope tile isn’t going on that board…..tape shouldn’t be used in tiled showers…

I use the go board in my work but for the corners we have plastic L bend that we glue in place. Love the work

just a tip, do not use wood in your curbs, they will rot doesnt matter how "waterproof" things are, go with a foam or poured concrete curb

I think it’s funny all the comments about how the guys doing this wrong then you go to their page they don’t have any pictures of their work. That’s funny.

Caulking screw holes is silly. I’ve been tearing out and rebuilding showers for 35 years. Not once have I seen water damage from a screw hole lol

I thought the manufacturer called for a 1/8" gap between panels? It looks like he butts them tight after applying sealant.

The only thing I see he not doing is using the washers that Go Board recommends to use. Not an expert maybe it’s not needed.

Goboard and Kerdi board are the bomb! I’ll never use cement board or Hardie board! So much easier to work with and better! You can buy Kerdi in 2” thickness which is great for curbs and seats.
