@doctor.nick1: Trigger finger is basically like tendinitis of the flexor tendons. Specifically, we call it “tenosynovitis” since it affects the lining of the tendons known as tenosynovium. 🚨 It's most commonly from overuse, but I often see it in patients with autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or those with diabetes. 😷 Treatment includes rest, activity modification, splinting, oral anti-inflammatories or even topical ones like topical CBD, corticosteroid injections, and if all else fails surgical release of the A1 pulley. 🧐 Have you ever had a trigger finger? I had that in my thumb. Annoying, but painless. It went away by itself after some 2 months.
