I broke in front of my eldest , she was 4 at the time. I didn't mean to. it was late and my entire life was falling apart and it just hit me all at once in the middle of me making her pancakes. she just held me and kept saying "it'll be ok" she's 12 now, she's vocal about how she feels, she's warm and loving when she can be. I don't know if her seeing that I'm human and have my moments made her human too... but she at least understands that it's okay to have moments because life can definitely become overwhelming.
