Love this message. I lost my only child in 2024 and healing has been easier knowing she considered me her best friend, not because I coddled her but because I gave her wings to fly and nest to always come home to. Be proud when they show independence 💜

I absolutely agree with what you said. I also take it one step further with an understanding for me that I won’t be here forever, and I take pleasure in knowing that they will be able to make the right decisions when I’m no longer here for them to reach out to.
