My husband and I have nearly always kept separate bedrooms. I'm a really light sleeper and he's an incredibly loud snorer. It makes for a peaceful night for us both. We usually watch tv/click around on our phones in my room until he starts snoring, then he goes to his room. Not sure we'd still be together without the separate bedrooms 😄
