Want to work toward a stronger, more stable forearm headstand? Start here. 🤸‍♀️ These 3 exercises will help you build the shoulder strength, core control, and stability you need before taking your feet off the ground. 1. Forearm Plank | 30 seconds x 3 rounds Stack your shoulders directly over your elbows and keep your elbows from drifting wider than your shoulders. Interlace your fingers and tuck your bottom pinky. Press your forearms firmly into the mat, draw your belly in, and think about zipping up the entire front of your body. Keep one long line from the crown of your head through your heels. 2. Dolphin Push-Ups | 8–16 reps x 3 rounds Walk your feet toward your elbows and lift your hips. Shift forward, bringing your chin toward your thumbs, then press back until your shoulders stack over your elbows. Keep pressing the ground away the entire time. 3. Forearm Plank Hip Drops | 20 alternating x 3 rounds From forearm plank, inhale center. Exhale, drop your hips to the left. Inhale center. Exhale, drop your hips to the right. Keep your core engaged and move with control. Then, when you’re ready to practice your headstand: Create that strong forearm foundation, press the ground away, and gently release your head into the triangle you’ve created with your arms. Walk your feet in like dolphin until your hips begin to stack over your shoulders. From there, play with lifting one leg, and eventually maybe both. Remember: the headstand isn’t just about getting upside down. Build the strength and stability first. 💪 Save this one for your next practice and let me know if it helps! #HeadstandPractice #YogaTips #ForearmHeadstand #YogaStrength #CoreStrength
