I respect your content and everything you post speaking against Hispanic hate. But as a combat veteran there is no suck thing as sacrificial lambs. If you are in a combat unit we all know that can be the outcome. It comes with the job. Soy de Michoacán y siempre represento Michoacán. Nunca se me guitara lo Mexicano. Many join the military and sacrifice years of their lives to help their parents obtain documents they were never able to secure. At the end of the day, Mexican Americans are Americans. Whether we are fully accepted or properly seen, this is their country. My question is this: would we be accepted in Mexico? Honestly, not necessarily. Mexican American kids are often not fully welcomed in Mexico either. I respect your content, but this is my perspective.

Another veteran (Salvadoran-American) chiming in here. My family is from a low income community where the military recruits heavily. I joined at an impressionable age and didn’t know better. At the same time, I was able to access resources I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I have a career, a home, and healthcare, which are things our generation struggles with these times.

It's possible to build a long-term career with valuable advantages, such as VA home loans, student loan repayment programs, and other lasting benefits.
