@mario_esquer_: How Billionaires Use Luxury Vehicles as Tax Shelters To most people, a Rolls-Royce, Bentley, or custom G-Wagon looks like pure indulgence. To billionaires, luxury vehicles can also be strategic financial tools when structured correctly. Here’s how it works: 1. Business Depreciation When a luxury vehicle is purchased under a business entity and used for legitimate business purposes, it can qualify for accelerated depreciation. Under Section 179 and bonus depreciation rules, a portion (or in some cases a large majority) of the vehicle’s value can be written off, reducing taxable income. 2. Asset Placement in an LLC Billionaires rarely own high-value vehicles personally. The car is often owned by an LLC or holding company, which allows expenses like insurance, maintenance, storage, and transportation to be deducted as business costs. 3. Branding & Marketing Justification For public-facing entrepreneurs, investors, or brand owners, luxury vehicles can be classified as marketing assets. Appearances at events, social media content, client meetings, and promotional use provide a defensible business purpose. 4. Leasing vs. Buying Strategy Leasing luxury vehicles can allow consistent deductions while preserving capital. Buying, on the other hand, can unlock depreciation benefits. Billionaires choose based on cash flow optimization, not emotion. 5. Wealth Preservation, Not Spending The key difference: the wealthy don’t buy luxury to “spend money.” They buy assets through structures that shift tax liability, preserve capital, and enhance brand value. The takeaway Luxury vehicles aren’t just status symbols at the top—they’re part of a larger tax and asset-management strategy designed by accountants, attorneys, and advisors. This is why the ultra-wealthy always build teams… not opinions. #billionaire #luxurylife #wealth #fyp

Haha this is legit but your business has to be making enough taxable income for you to be able to write off your vehicles. Also the RICH PUT THERE CARS UNDER A LLC SO THEY DONT GET TAXED FOR 500k on a car its a loop whole to not paying tax on a purchase.

save $60k in taxes on a $300k G wagon. You still lose money. I buy real assets, like land and mineral rights.

This is tax fraud! In order to get around this, we set our rental price way higher than it should be. we’ll use a 488 for example, $900-$1,500 a day, we’ll set it at around $2,000-$4,000 a day (with a 1 day limit to protect our vehicle) Then, twice a year for about a month, drop it down to about $750-$1,250 a day with a limit of 1-2 days until you get someone to rent it. Record this transaction and report it. Another way around this is have a much broker friend rent it for a price that is higher than market value (you will pay this back over time with interest under the table. or not) then report the transaction👍

Not all cars depreciate.. Porche 911’s, Aventador Svjs, and many others actually hold value and go up.
