FYI...sometimes there is a disconnect between what the CRA requires and how physicians complete the form. If you are denied, fix the errors and resubmit as many times as necessary.

The disability tax credit is actually really tough to get approved. CRA declines applications that are valid all the time because of poor explanation from doctors. There’s specific ways to apply and word the application.

I think when you work in a field you always find a niche that you love. I'm a CPA who works in strategic analysis, my friend who is a controller hates what I do and I hate what she does. I hate tax but you and my other friend enjoy it!

My Disablity Tex credit/ Caregiver got approved by CRA for the past 20 years (back) but CRA only go back & pay for the past 10 years only. Is there a way to collect rest of the DTC/ Caregiver amount for remaining 10 years ?

I am type 1, my doctor told me about this. Only lasts a fixed period and need to re-apply. Definitely worth it… also allows priority boarding when travelling
