They have an overheat protection mechanism that shuts it off to prevent motor damage. Mine did it and I let it cool down and it still works. I was working it on 2 but was fruitcake cookie batter. She was tired. 😂

you should return it, get your money back. then buy 1 from the guy here on TikTok. he refurbishes them and replaces the plastic gears and parts with metal ones. makes them like.new but better and more like the originals

😳 I keep seeing these videos and I am NEVER letting go of my kitchenaid mixer I inherited from my great grandmother. it was manufactured in the 70s and is a BEAST. I rarely use it above 4 speed because its so powerful.
