my guess. its a extreamly easy climb for him. and they are paying a ton of money to him. I think 90% of the young climbers about 20 feet off the ground will quickly change their mind to free solo.

Why are you so pressed? Do y’all not remember Evil Knievel, the tight rope dude? The man who jumped from space? There are plenty of urban climbing incidences. One was on the news a few years ago. People racing motorcycles are watched by amateurs and they are also inspired in the sport. Other people’s choices are not his responsibility. He isn’t doing anything that’s different from other sports or other daring activities.

Why is everyone so concerned with policing other people? I really don’t understand it. I like Alex, but if he chooses to free solo and he falls and dies that his prerogative. He died doing what he loved! Same goes for anyone else, it’s a free country. If you want to risk your life then go for it, we’re all gonna die eventually. Even if you watched him die in person I don’t see how that’s “traumatic”? No harm no foul.
