RN here - they don’t care where you went. More n more hospitals will cover your BSN if you work for them for a commitment after. Mine covered my BSN and my MSN.

Hes hella wrong on this one. Getting into nursing schools are expensive even a cheap one at community college is 6k per semester. Schools such as chamberlain cost nurses 100k and Arizona college of nursing charge students a lot. So she isn’t wrong with this one

Community college can sometimes take 3-5 years just on the waitlist. Nursing school does cost more that 100k in California

I signed up for nursing at my local community college - waitlisted at # 801 (~8 yrs). All universities and colleges had lottery systems which didn’t guarantee admission or you needed a 4.0 GPA. Private school entry (although expensive AF) were available the following semester. I accumulated ~$110k in loans bc I didn’t want to wait 8 yrs.

Nursing programs at affordable colleges are very hard to get into. For example, Cal State schools in California are impacted. I’ve heard students with 3.9’s getting rejected, so the other route people take is going private and it’s quite costly in comparison.

Boston hospitals hire all the time for associate level RNs. It’s kind of ridiculous to spend that much.

It is VERY DIFFICULT to get a new grad nursing job. You have 1000’s of new grads applying for 90 new grad jobs for the YEAR.
