Deadline: TUESDAY 10/6 at 5pm or she will be euthanized. ❤️‍🩹 Lovely girl Lucy originally arrived @ the West Valley shelter in May of 2022 at 10 weeks old along with her brother and was quickly adopted. Fast forward to September 21st, 2026, when she was surrendered to the North Central shelter. Her owners stated that she has severe separation anxiety which caused her to self-mutilate, and they could not afford her medical expenses. 😞 They left very nice notes stating she is sweet & loving, and more: ✅ She lived with young children & is gentle around kids ✅ Relaxed with cats ✅ Gentle with dogs ✅ Mostly house trained ✅ Has a medium energy level and just a light pull on leash We can’t begin to imagine what Lucy is going through after losing the security & comfort of her home and family while being thrown into the shelter all alone 💔 All on top of her pre-existing anxiety. She was given an e-collar to try and help prevent her from getting to her tail but sadly that hasn’t been helping. Lucy is breaking the hearts of her volunteer friends. She even hung out politely with a few respectful dog pals ⭐ We’d like to see her make it out safely and in responsible hands that will ensure she receive vet care and the behavioral support she needs for her anxiety. SHARE LUCY! Adopt or offer to foster (for rescue) if you have experience with separation anxiety and can get her proper treatment.
