I had the same exact surgery! Best decision! I had slight pain in the leg up until they removed the stitches and he gave me a steroid pack and it knocked what he called some swelling right out.

I had a spinal fusion when I was 29...im 42 now and it was seriously best decision I ever made. the surgery was awful but totally worth it.

so I'm on day 4 of recovery. last night a small amount of cheek and calf nerve pain came back. is that normal? Dr says don't worry about it but man, the anxiety won't let me not think about it or think it'll go away.

Had my back operated on 15 years ago, didn’t want to do it but the nerve pain down my leg was intolerable. Best decision I made and I’m sure things have come long ways from then.. good luck

Glad you’re feeling better back surgery is a scary thing but if you find the right doctors, it’ll all work out. I had spinal stenosis. Surgery was kind of iffy having it, but I found a great doctor in my area in upstate New York was getting nerve pain down my legs from my back down. It was the best thing that I ever had done. Felt better from day one of the surgery. Hope you continue to feel well Blake.

I had a discectomy first then almost 2 years later had to have a fusion. Then had to have a spinal cord stimulator and still have major issues at 46

Glad you feeling better! I had a spinal fusion in March. I feel so much better now but That spinal fusion surgery is brutal!
