@crmnallyobsessed: Ronnie Locklear was waiting on his wife of 52 years to come home for the family's holiday dinner on December 14 when he got a call he says he still can't believe. Marie Locklear, 74, had been shot and was in the hospital — where she would later die. The suspect is a violent felon named Cheyenne Woods. Authorities say Woods hijacked an ambulance at gunpoint after making a bogus 911 call, then crashed the emergency vehicle into Marie Locklear's car as he sped down the rural roads between Pembroke and Lumberton, North Carolina. After the crash, Woods got out and inexplicably opened fire on Locklear in what Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins calls a "senseless act of murder." She leaves behind a large family who are devastated by her killing. Locklear's family was in attendance on Monday, December 15, as a magistrate denied bond for their mother's alleged murderer and apparent career criminal. Court records show Woods was released in 2022 after serving only five years of a 15-year sentence for second-degree murder, and was previously convicted of armed robber in a case in which he was also initially charged with murder. Woods remains in jail and faces over a dozen felony charges related to the latest incident. #truecrime
