It forced me to adapt to different cultures, learn how to truly communicate with people, and step far outside my comfort zone into worlds I never imagined I’d be part of. Nursing also gave me perspective on life. You see firsthand how fragile time is, how nothing is guaranteed, and how important it is to live fully while you can. Being in the hospital teaches you that every moment matters. And the things nurses witness, hear, and carry with them — I don’t think any other career exposes you to humanity in such a raw, honest way. Nursing doesn’t just give you a job.
