as someone with healthy family relationships, i’d say I agree until I understand that not everyone has healthy relationships. that “one thing” that was done to make them cut that person off may have actually been the cherry on top of multiple bad things. plus these are our children we are talking about. in this day & age, it’s not emotionally immature to cut off unreasonable people. a lot of people are trying to protect their children. plus many “blessings” are actually a disguise. some people don’t have anyone who wants to help. they wanna come over and hold the baby & judge mom for not cooking, cleaning, bouncing back, etc.

You learn very quickly you DO need the help. Unfortunately I had all the help in the world and still got postpartum depression. It is so hard being away from your baby even to take a shower, you hear fantom cries… not to mention not being able to sleep unless baby is in the room with you. Everyone is different but absolutely take all the blessing and help you can get!

THIS! I was this way with my 1st baby and guess what happened… i developed serious postpartum anxiety that traumatized me. I needed my mom so so bad and I isolated myself so hard because I was scared. It will help so much mentally if you just accept the blessings and help that people want to offer. I wish I could go back in time and do it differently. 💔
