I was a figure skater for a couple of years in my teens. Skates can make a lot of difference and the ones for rent aren’t tight enough on your feet

There are adult ice skating classes. The oldest woman at mine is in her 60s but most are in there twenties and thirties

Ahhh I’m a figure skater and it’s never too late just make sure you get lessons or a coach before trying many spins just so you can understand correct technique and get past the basics before trying anything high level but so excited for youuu 🫶🏼

Start with the basics, like gliding properly and how to stop without slamming into a wall 🤣this is how I feel sometimes because I can skate but then I have to realize to become a figure skater takes years of practice training, alot of money, time, and alot of bruises along the way 😂

Girl do it you’re never too old to start! But be mindful that buying your own figure skates is a non negotiable MUST. The rent skates are so bad and they will quite literally make you think you’re terrible while in fact their blades are just extremely dull. Doesn’t have to be a fancy pair, just get yourself a pair to start with

I started group lessons at 23 at Altrincham rink. I still go now (I’ve posted a couple of vids showing how busy it is there). I love it, not embarrassing at all everyone’s got to start somewhere 🤍 they have adult classes Monday and Wednesday nights xx
