Yeah this is all fine and dandy until your career is gonna take you to one city and her career takes her to a different one. Someone is sacrificing or the relationship is over. Marriage is repeatedly denying yourself and your own desires for the betterment of the other. And they should be doing the same. Not begrudgingly, but joyfully. True love is selfless.

Compromises are for low-medium stakes scenarios. Such as where to go for dinner, where to live, where to vacation, etc. Compromises are not on values, goals, and aspirations. Thankful I have a husband that supports me in all I do and wish to pursue, and I do the same for him
