Nobody knew exactly why Lena and Miu hated each other. Some said it started because Miu stole Lena's parking spot three years ago. Others claimed Lena called Miu's favorite coffee "overpriced mud water." At this point, nobody cared. What everyone knew was that whenever Lena and Miu were in the same room, chaos followed. "Good morning." "Don't talk to me." "It's 8 AM. Who hurt you?" "You." "Wow. I haven't even had breakfast yet." The office had stopped trying to separate them. It never worked. They'd find each other. Like magnets. Angry magnets. One afternoon, Lena was looking for Ling. Instead, she found a group chat open on Ling's laptop. The title made her stop breathing. Operation: Just Kiss Already "What the hell?" Lena clicked. Big mistake. Huge mistake. There was a spreadsheet. A literal spreadsheet. Columns. Charts. Predictions. Money. A LOT of money. Ling - They'll date by March Orm - One drunken confession Bam - They'll accidentally get married Oom - They'll confess during a fight Lena's Mom - Married within 3 years Miu's Aunt - Miu falls first Lena stared. Then stared harder. Then screamed. "LING!" The entire office heard. Later that day, Lena stormed into the parking lot. Only to find Miu standing there. Holding her phone. Looking equally horrified. "You saw it?" "You saw it?" Silence. "They're insane." "They need therapy." "They're betting on us." "They made a spreadsheet." "They made charts." "There are graphs, Lena." "THEY MADE GRAPHS?" Silence. Then Miu smirked. Dangerous. Beautiful. Annoying. "Wanna ruin their bets?" Lena grinned. For the first time in years. "Absolutely." And thus began the worst decision of their lives. The revenge plan was simple. Make everybody lose money. Every single person. No exceptions. Whenever people expected romance— They fought. Whenever people expected flirting— They insulted each other. Whenever people expected a confession— They started arguing about pineapple pizza. The betting pool became chaos. Predictions collapsed. Money vanished. Ling started losing sleep. Bam opened a second spreadsheet. Oom doubled her bet. And Lena and Miu? They were having the time of their lives. Together. Unfortunately. The revenge mission was supposed to last one week. Maybe two. Just enough to destroy the betting pool. Then Lena and Miu would go back to being enemies. Simple. Easy. Reasonable. Three months later— They were still hanging out. "Why are we still doing this?" "Because Bam made another spreadsheet." "Right." "Right." Nobody questioned it anymore. Not even them. Need coffee? Call Miu. Need help moving furniture? Call Lena. Need someone to complain about your boss? Call each other. Neither realized how weird that was. Everyone else did. "Guys." Ling pointed at them. "They literally spend every day together." "They hate each other." Orm nodded. "That's not hate." Bam pointed. Across the room, Miu was removing onions from Lena's burger. Without being asked. "...That's marriage." Meanwhile— Neither idiot noticed. One weekend, they drove four hours to a beach. Officially? To prank Bam. Unofficially? Neither wanted to go alone. The drive was surprisingly peaceful. No fighting. No teasing. Just music. The ocean. And Miu is asleep in the passenger seat. Lena glanced over. Once. Then twice. Then again. Miu looked different when she wasn't arguing. Softer. Warmer. Beautiful. "...Oh no." Lena immediately looked back at the road. This was bad. Very bad. Catastrophically bad. Because for the first time— Lena realized she didn't hate Miu. Not even a little. She liked her. A lot. And that was a problem. A massive problem. Because Miu was Miu. And what if the betting pool was right? What if everyone had noticed except her? What if Miu didn't feel the same? Lena panicked. Like a mature adult. Which meant she started avoiding Miu. Texts became shorter. Calls became less frequent. Excuses became easier. Busy. Tired. Working. Later. Maybe tomorrow. At first Miu ignored it. Then she noticed. Then she got annoyed. Then she got angry. Very angry. One night she finally cornered Lena in her condo. Continuation ⬇️
