Need to wait 15 minutes after taking a drink of alcohol. If you don’t you’ll still have alcohol in your mouth that hasn’t dissolved and it will give an incorrect reading.

If you still have liquor in your mouth in your spit, it’s not gonna be accurate. Take a sip of water after taking a sip of your drink. If you wanna test yourself and switch your mouth out otherwise it’s testing your spit alcohol level not your blood alcohol level.
