I got invited to my first Xmas dinner. I love fruit and I love dessert so I said I would bring a fruit platter and some small desserts (macarons and tiramisu store bought with biscoff mousse hand made). She in fact appreciated this and didn’t have to worry about dessert at all making it easier on her. I feel as though if people just communicated exactly what would be brought in advance then the Host can plan accordingly which is not only helpful but also takes some stress away from them also brought ice/ wine/ mixers and a packing box as a “cooler” and she even had leftovers for the following private family events (as it was left in a sanitary condition to do so) Communication, respect and care was all it took 🤷🏻♀️
