RDJ was always meant to play doom. He auditioned for Dr. doom before he even played Iron Man. And our DJ said he would never return to the MCU unless he was given the opportunity to play Victor Vondo. He wanted to play doom more than he wanted to play Iron Man. He’s gonna cook.

RDJ could definitely play a villain (like the wizard or puppet master) but not Dr. Doom. Why even bring him back in the mcu. He starts the mcu literally, as iron man, then sacrifices himself for his universe as iron man. Thats how it should’ve ended. Perfect retirement for RDJ but now, they wanna bring him back as someone else but not just anybody, Marvel’s most iconic super villain. This had to be a money decision because if it was for the sake of the story, it’d be the stupidest thing they’ve done.

I’m gonna have to let my watch of Doomsday decide if the casting was good. I have no doubt that RDJ can pull off an incredible performance, but I’m not sure if he’s the right fit to Doom
