We never had freedom of speech in the Australian constitution but it is implied freedom of political communication. What we do have here in Australia is freedom of expression in our constitution. A particular slogan that they’re trying to stop to some people they can be offensive like, there are other slogans and salute that are highly offensive to other people as well which under the law you are not allowed to do because you will go to jail. There has been two infitada’s. First one was from 1987-1990. Second 2000-2005 and the second one was very violent that included suicide bombers. So when people here in the west say globalize the infitada, it can bring up a lot of cool memories on both sides and this is what people in the west do not understand what is really going on over there. Because most people here in Australia, I have never set foot out of this country. I have watched a 45 years of this conflict between Palestine and Israel and I’ve never seen it.
