is he just a crappy parent? we don't do weeks on weeks off though. i just have him on my days off and nights where I don't work. so equals to 3 on 4 or vice versa every other week.

It’s HARD. But I had a manipulative bipolar mom who would call and say she couldn’t get out of bed because she was so sad that we weren’t there and my dad left us, and all kinds of stuff.. I may have to put this in a comment below lol

I hated doing 50/50 when I was a kid with my parents. I always wanted to be with my mom and finally was able to starting 6th grade and go to my dads every other weekend. It was so much better and easier to me. And I couldn’t imagine having to do 50/50 with my kids it would be so hard. I feel like on both of us

My dad is 52 and I’m 26 and he tells me to this day that this was the worst part of his life for many years . We are really close now. Hang in there

If he is not remarried . If he was not abusive . I would remarry and raise the child in a traditional home . I did it for my children . They thank me all the time and loved their childhood . They knew I sacrificed and it was what it was

My kid only cried about going to one house or the other when he was really small and it was more about him not wanting to stop whatever he was doing. Now he's on some BS where he starts telling me he misses his dad and wants to go see his dad when I do things like make him brush his teeth or do his homework.

It gets better. My son has been doing week on/week off since he was 8. He is 14 now and it’s gotten easier the older he’s gotten.

Try something different than week on/ week off when they are little. I would try one of the other 50/50 schedules so that it’s not so long in between. Still hard but not so bad.
