My generation feels like it’s riskier to go to college to get a job than it is to start business. Imagine taking out all that money to pay for school just to get let go in this unstable job market or replaced by an AI that renders your job obsolete.

I had an okay paying job and was a supervisor. Worked 60 hr weeks, sometimes 12 hr days, 4 days off a month. They still acted like I was the most ungrateful employee after I said 2% was a pay cut. Then they came back with 3%.. I was filling multiple roles. Gas and Oil Industry, btw. Super wealthy company. I left and they're still telling people they did everything for me 🤣 They have us harming our health and still begging for 3%.

3% is probably not even happening. The Fortune 15 company I work for had billions in profits last year will now be laying off/offshoring workers. Any type of pay increases will be nonexistent except for executives. Happened during Covid and will happen now.
