@sd141414: Coding is becoming a specialized skill. Systems thinking is becoming the leverage. For solo builders and small teams, AI collapses implementation cost, but it doesn’t replace judgment. The teams that win understand architecture, constraints, and failure modes, not just how to generate code. This is what production-ready thinking looks like in an AI-driven world. #vibecoding #solobuild #systemsthinking
I’m an Architect. I can do 10 times the work now. I don’t need coders anymore. I can build complete systems myself.

I cannot tell you how many times AI coders get stopped with bottle necks that they need architects to solve

Systemic thinking is gained through years of manual coding and integrating. You know how systems work because you've fiddled with all the nuts and bolts, no magic. Will the new generation be able to fully develop their systemic thinking without tinkering with the nuts and bolts? 🤔

I'm a very experienced developer and software architect. And I've just built the complete software system for a startup all by myself, including an Android/iOS app, a web application and a REST server backend with a Postgres-DB on a Kubernetes cluster. I mean, it's still work. I don't let the AI do too complex coding, that simply doesn't work. But when you know how things work in general then the AI is taking care about the details, first. And then you get a hold of it pretty quickly, too. It's literally learning by doing and pretty fast, too 😄

AI creates hard to maintain code, I stopped using it altogether, only use now for unit tests and documentation

I built a full SaaS by myself with no coding experience in 36 days. It’s in pilot now. And it wasn’t a simple build either. It was an amazing journey to be honest and now I just want to find another idea and do it again! 😁

As a systems builder who knows front end, back end, devops, sysadmin, db admin with years of real world experience doing it all I say you’re partially right. AI can whip up an alpha version idea in minutes but it falls apart when you need it to refine that idea so there’s still a lot of work to be done cleaning it up. But yes I can have it build and throw away endless alpha versions of ideas until it makes something good enough to warrant me putting in the time to clean it up and finish it. What I would like to see at some point with gen AI is more detailed precision and less random luck generator. It’s still quite amazing though.

meta architecture and engineering
are the future, top down system thinkers that see in relations of the system not the prices but how the intire system relationships work.
no programing nessacery
machine learning and programmers are way behind there Bias fences them in.

Absolutely confirm. I made synthetic agent team via Claude code - it is able to build super complex concepts in Nuxt4. Speed building system x30, literally. Feature that takes a month built in a day.

Or, the hardest part could be sales. AI adoption is still at a crawl outside engineering... and no, composing emails with AI isn't really adoption, that's just Grammerly Auto-correct with extra steps.

Yup, everything we experience is the byproduct of the systems around us (physics, chemistry, ecology, physiology, etc). Understanding all of those systems will give you clarity in how the world works and give you an advantage by understanding multiple perspectives. System thinking gives one a competitive advantage.
