@leahhopehealth: I say this a lot, because it matters to me that you know this wasn’t just my personal goal while losing weight, it’s something that’s possible for you too. For so many people, especially women, we’ve been told our whole lives to shrink ourselves. In more ways than one. That being smaller is more feminine, more attractive, more acceptable. That we shouldn’t take up space — physically or emotionally. But that’s not why I lost weight. I lost weight to feel better. To be healthier. To not just dream, but actually have the ability to go after those dreams. To have more energy to live a fuller life. To not be held back by my size or my endurance. To be FREE.
